First event under unified Vehicle Tech Week umbrella connects automotive experts across testing, design and intelligent vehicle technologies
NOVI, Mich., Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Vehicle Tech Week North America concluded its 2026 event Oct. 29 at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi, Michigan, which brought together 4,500 automotive engineers, designers, technology innovators and industry leaders for three days of technology showcases, expert discussions and networking opportunities.
Organized by UKi Media & Events, the event brought Automotive Testing Expo, Automotive Design & In-Cabin Expo and Intelligent Vehicle Expo together under the Vehicle Tech Week North America umbrella for the first time, creating a more connected experience for professionals working across the automotive industry.
The event featured more than 300 exhibiting brands and more than 90 conference speakers, with speakers representing leading automakers, suppliers and technology organizations including Tesla, General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Stellantis, Lucid Motors, J.D. Power and Carnegie Mellon University.
“Vehicle Tech Week North America brought together the disciplines shaping the complete vehicle, from testing and validation to intelligent technologies and in-cabin design,” said Jason Sullivan, group portfolio director, UKi Media & Events. “The connections and collaboration we’ve seen reinforce the value of bringing the industry together and give us a strong foundation to build on for 2027.”
Exploring the Future of Vehicle Technology
Throughout the three-day event, attendees explored advancements in artificial intelligence, software-defined vehicles, autonomous mobility, vehicle interiors, testing and validation through technical presentations, panel discussions and technology demonstrations.
“Bringing the industry together in one place at one time is super important for relationships, for progress and for technology development,” said Liz Kerton, CEO and founder of Autotech Council, an Industry Partner of Vehicle Tech Week North America. “Putting that all into one place gives me, as a tech scout in the automotive industry, one place where I can meet the people and see the technologies that will be affecting our industry over the next 12 months.”
Opening-day plenary discussions focused on the “Business of Technology” in automotive, featuring perspectives from industry leaders on the intersection of engineering innovation and business strategy.
The event also introduced PeerTalks, a new networking initiative within the VIP Executive Club that brought senior automotive professionals together for intimate, small-group roundtable discussions. Designed to encourage open conversations around real-world challenges and practical implementation, sessions explored topics including “From Physical to Virtual: Re-Engineering the Test & Validation Business Model for SDVs” and “Designing the Software-Defined Cabin: Balancing Personalization, Sustainability & Human-Centric UX.”
With five to seven participants per table, PeerTalks provided an opportunity for attendees to exchange experiences, share practical insights and connect with industry peers facing similar challenges.
Looking Ahead to 2027
Building on the success of this year’s event, Vehicle Tech Week North America will return to Novi on Oct. 26-28, 2027, continuing to bring together the automotive testing, design and intelligent vehicle communities.
Vehicle Tech Week Europe will also take place June 2-3, 2027, at Messe Stuttgart, Germany, providing another opportunity for automotive professionals to explore emerging technologies and connect with industry peers.
