Sentences of Molly Ann Bloom, Holly Leanne Frantzen, Shemika Williams Recently Commuted by President; Applications Received Legal Guidance From Nemazee Fellowship

NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Pasha Publishing is proud to announce the Hassan & Nazie Nemazee Clemency Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Law School, funded by Hassan Nemazee author of Persia, Politics and Prison and his wife Nazie. As the criminal justice reform movement continues to gather momentum at the state and federal level, the Nemazee Fellowship at the Clemency Clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School has launched with support from Hassan and Nazie Nemazee and is quickly emerging as a hub of advocacy, action and expertise at the national level.

Notably, President Trump’s recent round of clemencies, pardons and commutations included three deserving women, Molly Ann Bloom, Holly Leanne Frantzen, and Shemika Williams, whose applications were shepherded by the Nemazee Fellowship, which provided expert legal and support services. The institute will continue to advise applicants.

Hassan and Nazie Nemazee released the following statement: “Criminal justice reform is the civil rights issue of our time and we are honored to support the Institute’s groundbreaking, life-changing work that keep communities safer and our country fairer. If someone has served their time, accepted responsibility, and poses no threat to the public, they should be entitled to clemency. We are proud to advance this important movement through support of the Fellowship, and the Institute’s transformative work.

“We deeply congratulate Molly, Leanne and Shemeka and their families and hope that the next phase of their lives are fulfilling, and we thank the White House for its commitment to second chances.”

Hassan Nemazee is himself formerly incarcerated.

Hassan and Nazie Nemazee and Professor JaneAnne Murray, the clinic’s founder and director, are available for interviews.
